Masque d’ÉBÈNE is proud to present the idyllic couple, Jaina and Tate and their future litter of spring/summer 2019
A huge thank you to Susan Jaddock, from Alberta, for trusting us in using Tate for our breeding program.
We will not have puppies. We are very sad.
An ultrasound has shown us that Jaina is not pregnant.
We are expecting from this marriage: Beauty, Structure, Temperament and love of work.
We are expecting Fawn and sable puppies.
The inbreeding coefficient for this litter over 5 generations: F= 0.78%
The inbreeding coefficient, commonly labeled F and expressed as a percent, is a measure of the amount of consanguinity in an individual's ancestry, in other words, how closely related its parents are.
It is best to consider as many generations as possible to get a better idea of the COI. Just to give you an idea, for this same couple, but calculated over 7 generations the F = 2.98.
The inbreeding coefficient for the union of Tate and Jaina remains reasonable considering that, the deleterious effects of inbreeding begin to become evident at a COI of about 5%. So, in terms of health, a COI less than 5% is definitely best.
We are no longer taking any reservations for the spring 2021 litter.
Thank you.
